Désirée was born in Mexico in 1992 and lives in Belgium since 2018. Today she’s a performer, maker and teacher. Her work has a strong relationship with magic, healing, gatherings, immigration, horror, fantasy and humour.
From 2015 to 2018, she was a member of Dana Dance Company in Bretagne (France), where she guided dance projects in hospitals, psychiatric centers and medical educational institutes. Workshops, and also performances were created within patients and residents of those locations.
In 2022/2023 she created her first performance La Fiesta de Delfina that was presented in Mestizo Arts Festival (2022), There is Nothing Wrong With People in Kaai Studios (2023), ON_OFF_SPACE in DeSingel (2023), Love at First Sight FestiMjval in Arenberg (2023) and in Próximamente in KVS (2023). Today she is developing her new piece La Noche de Aparición, a dance and clowning performance that will explore Mexican folklore and horror aesthetics.
As a performer, she has collaborated with artists such as Simon Van Schuylenbergh, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Rosie Sommers & Micha Goldberg, Florence Casanave, Sophie Melis or David Zambrano among others.
