Jihan Imago

Jihan Imago is a writer, illustrator, choreographer, performer, activist, and equicoach. Initially trained in drawing and photography at the Institut Saint-Luc in Tournai, he first worked as a visual artist for several years. Gradually, he incorporated writing into his work, creating performance installations in galleries and museums. It wasn’t until much later, in 2019 at the age of 37, that he decided to dedicate himself to dance and physical expression. At that time, he did not know that a whole new path would unfold, marking the beginning of a long journey.

Alongside his work as a maker and performer, Jihan Imago helps people seeking well-being with the assistance of free-roaming horses in Tervuren. After training in coaching and then equicoaching, he founded his own support project, imago-imagine&go, in January 2024.

He is also committed to social justice, particularly on LGBTQIA+ issues through his vice-presidency at BGS (Brussels Gay Sport), and by providing training on Trans and Migration issues at CGRA/CGVS. Additionally, he supports Trans individuals seeking asylum and participates in talks, conferences, and debates on issues of intersecting discrimination.
