La Noche de Aparición

La Noche de Aparición

La Noche de Aparición, which could be translated as “The Night of the Ghost,” is a storytelling, clowning, and dance performance by Désirée 0100 & Lulu Muñoz. Inspired by real Mexican folk tales, this performance will present three different tales in one evening: La Procesión de los Muertos, Los Narcosatánicos, and La Llorona. This piece also explores themes such as solitude, spirits, missing people, homesickness, and social gatherings.

La Noche de Aparición is a reflection of popular culture, entertainment and the horror genre. For Lulu and Désirée this work also represents a process of resignification of their journey as immigrant artists, where they try to conciliate different elements from their native country (Colombia and Mexico) and their new home in Belgium.
