In his second production AKOMFRAHDIO, Mathieu critiques the Western idea of linear perception of time. The fact that we talk about years, months, minutes and seconds is an agreed-upon code to work our perception of time into a certain harness. Many other ways of experiencing time have existed in other cultures, but they have all been erased by colonial expansion and imperialism. AKOMFRAHDIO addresses the issue that linear time is a format to have as much production as possible in as little time as possible.
