Loucka Fiagan
Loucka Fiagan is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, and musician whose practice weaves together choreography, sound, and text. Raised in Togo and based in Brussels for over a decade, Fiagan studied Sociology and Anthropology before earning a Master’s in Performance Art and Choreography from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
At 19, Fiagan joined the collective Chapter One, gaining formative experience in collaboration, event-making, and artistic experimentation. In 2017, they co-founded WDKY (wedontknowyet) with Oscar Cassamajor, debuting at the Work In Progress Festival with a performance exploring hybrid identity and audience-performer relations. Their piece Bluland(2018–2019), supported by Mestizo Arts Platform, City Lab, and Bâtard Festival, toured widely, including stops at Theater Aan Zee and Bozar. In 2021, the duo expanded into immersive formats with The Lab, a 40-minute experimental VR film for Bâtard Festival.
Fiagan has since worked across performance, research, and sound, collaborating with choreographer Moya Michael on the internationally touring Coloured Swans series, including Harriet’s ReMix and Outwalkers (2022). Their sound design credits include Castélie Yalombo’s Water, L’attérée des eaux vives (2022) and Eli Mathieu-Bustos’ Have a Safe Travel(2023), with upcoming work in Lukah Katangila’s Imprisoned Gods (2025).
Under the alias SVDU, Fiagan develops a long-term practice in sound art, acousmatic music, and composition. They have performed at Beursschouwburg (opening for Moor Mother in 2022), KIOSK Radio, KONVOOI Festival, and were an artist-in-residence at Volta (2022–2024). Together with JASMIN, they co-founded the alternative hip-hop band We In The Zoo, set to perform at Botanique in 2025.
